Since 1718, Lazzaroni have produced the original Amaretti di Saronno, a unique biscuit.

Slowly and carefully baked to the original ancient recipe, this traditional method has been preserved and prized. The main ingredients are sugar and bitter almonds (apricot kernels) and egg white, without any additional flavours. The little biscuits are decorated with sugar granules, packed in pairs and wrapped in the famous bow tied tissue paper and contained in the traditional and elegant boxes.

Amaretti di Saronno can be enjoyed on their own or as an accompaniment to fine wine, liquors and coffee. Try as a topping for ice cream and other desserts. Also fantastic crushed and mixed with pumpkin/squash and ricotta for a delicious ravioli filling.

 

Ingredients 

Sugar, apricot kernels 20%, egg white, raising agent (ammonium carbonates).

May contain traces of cereals containing gluten, nuts, soya, milk, sesame seeds.

Minimum shelf life of 3 months unless indicated otherwise.

Each item is scrutinised before being sent. We only send items that reach our quality standards. Wooden items, such as handles, might feel a bit rough from the manufacturer. Our team in the UK hand sand some of these items to make sure the item is at its best.

We hand wrap delicate items before sending them to you to ensure they are protected and reach you in perfect condition. We don't believe in excessive packaging and believe the tools speak for themselves.

We hope to do our bit for the environment and reduce plastic waste. Most of our packaging is paper based and is non-laminated, which can be easily recycled or composted at home.

We aim to reuse materials and packaging where possible and this is usually the only plastic you will find in your parcel. This plastic protection can also be recycled.
