Professional Small Copper Cake / Jelly Moulds Set of Six 8cm

£115.00

Heavy gauge, solid copper cake or jelly moulds with a dainty brass hanging ring.

Just like the beautiful moulds you would see hanging up on the walls of a 19th century kitchen with gleaming copperware in so many shapes and sizes. These little jelly moulds are made the traditional way and are not made of thin stamped metal.

These high quality moulds are robust and beautifully finished. Each mould has been lined with 100% virgin tin, melted and lined by hand over an open fire.

Perfect for baking little cakes or making set jellies, puddings or frozen desserts.

Copper is known for its superior heat conductivity and even cooking. It is loved for its quick response to temperature changes.

Suitable for use in the oven. Maximum temperature 220°C.

Not suitable for induction hobs.

Use with wooden or non-scratch utensils to avoid damaging the internal tin coating.

With care, copper moulds can last for generations and be cherished for many years.

A true heirloom piece.

Beautifully handmade in Sant'Anastasia (near Naples) by Cu Artigiana's master craftsmen.

Dimensions

Diameter:  7cm

Height:  4cm

Material and Care

Copper and Brass.

Tinned copper cookware must absolutely not be brought into contact with heat fire or put in the oven, without first having greased it with a layer of fat or having poured liquid on it like oil, water etc. Use a low flame. Maximum temperature 220°C. The use of a dishwasher is not recommended.

Internal cleaning

Wash carefully before and after use with normal kitchen detergent and rub with a sponge, avoiding abrasive or metallic ones. Protection of tinning To prolong the life of the tinning we recommend using wooden cutlery, avoiding metal ones or sharp ones, which can scratch. It is also recommended to cook over a low heat. With continuous use, tin, in contact with the acidity contained in some elements, tends to darken. It is a natural reaction and does not affect its hygiene. If the tin coating is no longer uniform, it will be essential to proceed to a new lining, you can consult our customer service in this regard.

External cleaning

Our objects are not externally protected with transparent paints which could be harmful at the time of use. With continuous use the exterior will take on that characteristic ancient copper colour. For those who prefer shiny copper we recommend using (externally only) cleaning products for copper. These are easily available on the market or the classic solution of vinegar and salt.

Packaging

What's inside?
A sneak peek to show you how we package up our parcels.

Each item is scrutinised before being sent. We only send items that reach our quality standards. Wooden items, such as handles, might feel a bit rough from the manufacturer. Our team in the UK hand sand some of these items to make sure the item is at its best.

We hand wrap delicate items before sending them to you to ensure they are protected and reach you in perfect condition. We don't believe in excessive packaging and believe the tools speak for themselves.

We hope to do our bit for the environment and reduce plastic waste. Most of our packaging is paper based and is non-laminated, which can be easily recycled or composted at home.

We aim to reuse materials and packaging where possible and this is usually the only plastic you will find in your parcel. This plastic protection can also be recycled.
