A large, alder wood tankard with bark detail.
This captivating, yet humble beer mug has been turned from a solid log allowing some of the natural outer bark to be kept for decoration. A large and sturdy handle finishes the mug.
To make it easier to drink from, the mug can be lined with a plastic, ceramic or glass insert.
Before drinking directly from the mug, we recommend oiling the inside with food grade mineral oil, linseed oil or tung oil. This will water proof the interior. Or alternatively, beeswax can be used to waterproof the inside but will need to be reapplied more regularly.
Not suitable for hot drinks.

Materials and Care
Alder wood and beechwood.
Not suitable for the dishwasher. Before first use, ensure all of the wood dust has been removed by wiping with a damp cloth. Do not allow to stand or soak in water. It is recommended to use a plastic or glass insert to make drinking easier. Use food grade oil or apply beeswax to waterproof before drinking from.

Each item is scrutinised before being sent. We only send items that reach our quality standards. Wooden items, such as handles, might feel a bit rough from the manufacturer. Our team in the UK hand sand some of these items to make sure the item is at its best.
We hand wrap delicate items before sending them to you to ensure they are protected and reach you in perfect condition. We don't believe in excessive packaging and believe the tools speak for themselves.
We hope to do our bit for the environment and reduce plastic waste. Most of our packaging is paper based and is non-laminated, which can be easily recycled or composted at home.
We aim to reuse materials and packaging where possible and this is usually the only plastic you will find in your parcel. This plastic protection can also be recycled.
