This beautiful, tactile mould, made from warm beechwood is a joy to use when making fresh pasta. The pattern consists of a central donut shape with fluted raised detail. It is designed to be filled to create a unique and exciting raviolo.

This mould is exceptional due to its second inverse counter mould used to push the fresh pasta sheet into the contours of the primary mould. This speeds up pasta making when you want to make a large batch.

To use:

Flour the surface of the mould to stop pasta dough sticking.
Place sheet of pasta onto the mould.
Using the counter mould, push the pasta into the contours and remove.
Fill the indented pasta sheet with the filling of your choice.
Place second sheet of pasta on top.
Using the flat, non patterned side of the counter mould, push down firmly to stick the pasta layers together.
Flip your raviolo out by turning the mould over.
Trim the edges of the raviolo with a pasta cutting wheel or cookie cutter.

These wooden moulds are an excellent example of Italian artisanal craftsmanship. The charming patterns and designs have been conceived and produced in Sardinia, where each mould is painstakingly hand finished to ensure crisp outlines for the perfect imprint on your pasta. Each mould is treated with a food grade oil to ensure durability and to bring out the brilliance of the wood.

Each item is scrutinised before being sent. We only send items that reach our quality standards. Wooden items, such as handles, might feel a bit rough from the manufacturer. Our team in the UK hand sand some of these items to make sure the item is at its best.

We hand wrap delicate items before sending them to you to ensure they are protected and reach you in perfect condition. We don't believe in excessive packaging and believe the tools speak for themselves.

We hope to do our bit for the environment and reduce plastic waste. Most of our packaging is paper based and is non-laminated, which can be easily recycled or composted at home.

We aim to reuse materials and packaging where possible and this is usually the only plastic you will find in your parcel. This plastic protection can also be recycled.
